Meet ...

Kristen Schepker, MS,
HPC’s new Assistant Editor

Based in San Francisco, Kristen is passionate about all things holistic. She earned her Masters from the California Institute for Integral Studies where she studied health coaching, lifestyle education, nonviolent communication, research methodology, and integrative healing systems. In addition to her editorial work, she also serves as a program director at Compass Family Services, an independent non-profit that helps homeless families find housing and healthcare. Kristen is fond of yoga, international travel, healthy food, and wee canines.

Monya De, MD, MPH

A wellness-focused internist in Los Angeles.  She’s an alumna of Stanford University, and graduated with distinction from UC-Irvine School of Medicine. While in training, she was named the nation's top medical student in the communication of science by the AMA. Her interests include integrative medicine, health policy, technology, and media.  Dr. De has been a reporter for the ABC News Medical Unit, a commentator for the TV show "Hopkins", and a script consultant for popular shows including The Ghost Whisperer, House, and The Firm.  Dr. De will be spearheading HPC’s new HolisTech section.

Madiha Saeed, MD

A holistic family physician in Bend, Indiana. She trained at National University of Science and Technology and completed her residency in 2010 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. She is board certified in both Family Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine, and has a particular passion for womens’ health and family health issues. A busy mother of four young boys, Dr. Saeed shares her "walk the talk" nutrition & lifestyle tips and her lively "bring it on" spirit with families worldwide via her HolisticMomMD website, and her new book The Holistic Rx.
