Understanding Pyrroles and Mood Disorders

Join us June 13th for this WEBINAR at 8 PM EST

Pyrrole disorder and related deficiencies are important factors associated with conditions such as anxiety and other mood disturbances. In this presentation, we aim to review the findings that relate to these conditions, and understand the commonly associated imbalances and toxicities.

Key learning objectives:

  • Understand the concept of pyroluria, and the described deficiencies that result.
  • Recognise the role nutrients, such as zinc, vitamin B6 and magnesium play in healthy neurotransmitter function.
  • Appreciate the mechanisms through which copper excess/low zinc are
    associated with:
  1. anxious and hyperactive disorders
  2. postpartum depression
  3. oestrogen dominance and progesterone depletion.
  • Identify the role vitamin B6 plays in supporting healthy methylation, and how deficiencies may compromise healthy antioxidant and detoxification functions
  • Recognise magnesium as an essential nutrient for promoting neurological health (e.g. promoting neurotrophic factors) and assisting in the management of inflammation
